We have partnered with the ERIE COMMUNITY BLOOD BANK & GIFT OF LIFE MARROW REGISTRY. On September 25th, the Sturgeon House will be converted into a blood drive center and a bone marrow & stem cell donor registry drive. Stop by during the hours of 3 pm to 7 pm and give the gift of life. |
You Could Be Someone’s Lifesaving MatchGift of Life Marrow Registry connects volunteer donors with patients battling blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma who may need a lifesaving bone marrow or stem cell transplant. Joining the registry is simple—just complete a brief questionnaire and swab the inside of your cheek. No needles are needed to register! This mission recently touched our own community when a local resident’s son was matched with a patient and donated bone marrow. A few minutes and a simple swab could someday help save a life. | As a non-profit organization, the Community Blood Bank has been providing a safe, reliable supply of volunteer blood to patients in need since 1966. The Community Blood Bank of NWPA &WNY supplies blood and blood products to 17 hospitals and 7 Stat MedEvac bases throughout Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York.
